Sac City schools offer first in series of budget forums - Sacramento City News - sacbee.com:

"The Sacramento City Unified School District will lead the first of six community forums at 6:30 p.m. today at McClatchy High School to share updates on the district's budget and to gather input from the public.

The district is facing a $30 million budget deficit for the 2010-11 school year. Superintendent Jonathan Raymond said he hopes to discuss budget plans and ask the community for advice at the meetings.

Trustees will also discuss budget cut recommendations at a school board meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Serna Center, 5735 47th Ave.
