Oxnard School District puts superintendent on leave Ventura County Star

Oxnard School District puts superintendent on leave Ventura County Star:

"Oxnard School District trustees placed their superintendent on paid administrative leave early Thursday, less than eight months after he was hired.

Trustees declined to comment on what prompted the unanimous decision on Superintendent Anthony Monreal, saying it was a personnel issue and citing confidentiality laws. Board President Al Duff made the announcement after trustees emerged from a closed session meeting about 3 a.m.

“It would be inappropriate to make any comments,” board attorney Yuri Calderon said after the meeting adjourned. He said officials were conducting an investigation, but he would not elaborate."
