STUDENTS CONVERGE AT OBAMA OFFICE TO RECLAIM VOICE
COLUMBUS, Ohio –
Students from across the United States are gathering this week at Ohio State University for the National Student Power Convergence 2012, mobilizing for a new wave of student organizing and action. Against the backdrop of the upcoming elections, discontent among students is rising. We are aware that neither presidential candidate represents our authentic aspirations, and we will not allow either to co-opt our voice to further their own interests.On Monday, August 13 at 1 pm, students will be holding a press conference at the Ohio State Obama Campaign Office, located at 1570 N. High St., Suite C10 Columbus, OH, to voice our collective dissent with the corporate-dominated electoral system and announce our resolve to reclaim control over our future.
